This mailing list is a general email list about Server Sky - Internet and Computing in Orbit, associated with the wiki website http://server-sky.com All contributions, unless otherwise noted, are in the public domain. Design ideas on this list are assumed to be public domain. If information is copyrighted, patented, or otherwise legally encumbered, please attribute it if you can. Although URLs are permitted, this list may reject HTML-formatted email. Also, large attachments should be kept elsewhere and pointed at with a URL. If your posting is of enduring value, like a FAQ or a HOWTO, please consider adding it to the Wiki instead (http://server-sky.com/ ). Note that your email submissions are stored in a web archive, forever, and people searching the web for information about server sky, or about you, will be able to find it years from now. So keep it professional; let's not confuse users or future employers. No SPAM or unsolicited commercial email will be tolerated. The list owner reserves the right to moderate users. Pay SPECIAL ATTENTION to the 6th or so option down, "Get password reminder email for this list?" - unless you set it to "No", the password you used for the list will be sent to you monthly. You are SUPPOSED to use a non-critical password - but just in case you didn't, change it now, to something easy to remember. This password is like a lock on a cloth suitcase; it keeps random strangers from easily changing your subscription info, but will not stop a determined thief. That is my job as list administrator. Using Server-sky
To post a message to all the list members, send email to server-sky@lists.server-sky.com. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to Server-sky
Subscribe to Server-sky by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
